Christmas Card Pictures and Christmas Eve Blizzard

These are the pictures that we took for the 2009 Christmas Card. I should know better than to think that I would be able to get all three of our kiddos to look AND smile at the camera at the same time! I attempted anyway!

Keaira wasn't too sure about having her pictures taken so we had Riana and Aiden practice a little bit first.

Keaira started walking at 9 months or so. Trying to get her to stop walking long enough for the picture wound up being harder than we thought!

So take your pick which you think turned out to be the best picture. At least we tried! =)

Christmas Eve Blizzard

We were all so excited for Riana and Aiden to be in their first Christmas Eve Service at church. Both Keith and I spent many years being part of the Christmas Eve tradition. We will have to wait another year! We had another blizzard move through and cancel the Christmas celebrations. It really didn't seem like Christmas because we didn't go to church.

It reminded me of the year that they cancelled the program because of snow in 1983. I was a 3rd grader. I was so disappointed that the program was going to be cancelled that I spent the day preparing a Christmas Eve Service for our family. It included songs from the hymnal, reading the Christmas Story from the Bible, and of course reciting my part from the program. I chuckle at myself now!
