A Day at the Zoo

One nice day, we decided to take a trip to the Clay Center Zoo. It had been a long time since I had been there and was pleasantly surprised by the many new additions that they have made there since I was a kid!

I think that the animals that won my children's attention the most was the monkeys. We sat there and watched them and talked about them, then watched them some more!

I'm not sure if Riana is acting like one of the animals or if I just caught her in mid-sentence.

I brought along bread to feed the ducks. Riana and Aiden has lots of fun feeding the ducks. Keaira on the other hand was not about to give up her bread for some silly ducks! She just ate it herself!!

See I told you they enjoyed the monkeys! Here we are back again on the bench watching the monkeys. There was a baby monkey that two of the others kept picking on. Riana and Aiden kept saying to me, "Mommy, make them be nice to the baby!"

I thought this was a neat little spot to take a picture. Too bad that the sun was shining right in their eyes!

Not quite sure what Riana is doing here but it sure makes for a silly picture! All in all, we had so much fun and will have to make that trip again soon. Maybe Keaira will even decide to share her bread next time! As if that wasn't brave enough, I then took them to Pizza Hut. Now we have taken our kids to Pizza Hut before but I have not taken them to the pizza buffet all by myself. We all left Pizza Hut full and alive! =)
